This gets a favorite...

Whoever said "Think Family Guy" doesn't know real humor. All of these but the first made me bust out laughing, and that doesn't usually happen from things on newgrounds. The jokes were very clever, and I can tell you put a lot of work into this. Keep up the great work.

All my five really ARE belong to this.

Zelda has been my favorite game series for, well, my entire life. Seeing this made my day. The voice acting could use a little work, but your art... I'm in absolute awe.

You captured the absolute essence of Nintendo's characters. Art of that quality is really something I hope to pull off someday. Keep up the excellent work.

Really lacking...

First of all, you had a pretty funny idea. "A Link to the Past" is what got me reading at a high school level in kindergarten, so it's pretty sacred to me. :D

The problem I have with your flash is the text effects. What would have been a pretty good sprite film went down the tube due to your horrible spelling and grammar. I don't mean that in an offensive way, but can you imagine something like that happening in a professional film?

Anyway, you put out some effort, and that alone deserves a good score.

Very impressive...

First of all, I hate WoW with a passion. You can usually find me on streetcorners and in coffee houses ranting about the evils of subscription online games. I'm very impressed with the art in this cartoon, however. You really added a lot of life to the characters, and more importantly, the environments are close to perfect in terms of atmosphere.

Keep up the good work.

Xiphon responds:

Well, I like it, but I don't relegiously play it. I tried to focus more on the story rather than poking fun directly at the game however.

Hopefully you're safe from your own creations. :D

I actually think the art is pretty decent, and I liked the hall's camera angle. However, if you want to make things like this, I'd invest in a good microphone and a sound editor. NOOB's turning around might also be better if you drew him standing to the side, instead of just squashing his front image. The blood effect might also be better with a red-based fill and a shape tween.

UnordinaryDragon responds:

I hope i am, too.... but now im going to make a new one, put more time in it, I just wanted to see what would happen with this.

Dedicated work pays off.

Working two years on a single project shows a lot of drive, and you deserve a ten just for that. However, you captured the essence of the Mega Man franchise in your art, and that makes it even better. You use a lot of clever camera angles and effects, which makes it even better.

However, the voice acting seems to fluctuate between mono and stereo, and the voices themselves are a bit lacking. I'd suggest using GoldWave or another editor to beef em up a little.

My only other complaint is that you might get a better product if you used more frame-by-frame where you used shape tweening.

Keep up the great work - I'm impressed.

Short and sweet, with good animation!

It's short and to the point - nothing wrong with that. What makes this stand out for me is your animation technique. You're very talented at facial animation, and it adds a lot of life to the characters.

Honestly pretty lowbrow...

First of all, I really liked the art style - you're talented, that's for sure. However, the animation was a bit lacking - the scene where he raised his controller stands out in my mind: his arms were still down at his sides. Since you're a very talented artist, I was also a bit disappointed to see the baboon was a photo.

You used some pretty clever transitions between the flashback and the present, but maybe you should've used some other camera angles other than direct frontal shots. As for the story, I didn't really find a lot of humor in it, and it seemed like the swearing was just added for the sake of being there.

Wow... I'm in awe.

This is the kind of quality work I hope to be able to make someday. Your own take on the anime style is really impressive, and you used the limited "cinematic" anime-style animation flawlessly. Amazing work.

Yung-SamuraiJazz responds:

Wow, thanx, i aint never got that before since i just started, but thanks, bro

Very professional comedy.

This reminds me a lot of The Simpsons or Family Guy, both in art style and quirky humor. Keep up the good work.

I like to think that I can go the extra mile when it comes to cartooning. If it doesn't look good to me, I work at it until it's perfect. That's why my toons take months to get done.
